Calm Air recently partnered with Frontiers North Adventures to help travellers enjoy a culinary experience like no other: Raw: churchill.
The location was set inside the 300 year old Prince of Wales Fort near Churchill, Manitoba.
The evening started with a glass of wine with the team before climbing aboard the large tundra buggy. The tundra buddy set us out on a journey to the fort atop the Churchill River.
When we approached the fort, we were greeted by a guide who opened the fort entrance doors to a magnificent structure; the pop-up restaurant, with warm glowing lights coming out all sides.
Upon walking in and taking our seats in a very warm and inviting atmosphere, our team was hosted with a traditional drink to toast the start of our dinner.
Not only did we enjoy several delicious courses, our palettes were heightened with new experiences including the tastings of caribou heart and cloud fungus – both surprisingly delicious!
Our hope is to see this experience welcomed again in 2019 as it truly surpassed our already high expectations! Thank you again to Frontiers North Adventures and the chefs for Raw: churchill to host such a wonderful event in Northern Manitoba.
