How do I make a reservation?

There are 3 ways to make a reservation with Calm Air. You can call the Calm Air Reservations toll-free line at 1-800-839-2256, you can book online at www.calmair.com, or you can contact your local travel agent.


When can I call to make a booking over the phone?

The Calm Air Reservations Center is open
7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays
7:30 a.m.to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and
9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays.
All times are Central Time.

Can I book my Aeroplan reward travel with Calm Air?

No. It is Aeroplan’s requirement that all bookings be made by Aeroplan. Please visit their website at www.aeroplan.com or call 1.800.361.5373 for more information.

Can I change my itinerary online?

Yes, you can. Click the “Modify a Booking” tab on the main booking page at www.calmair.com. Then enter your first and last name and your reservation number to access your reservation and make changes.

Who do I call if I have questions or problems booking online?

Please call Reservations Centre at 1.800.839.2256 and one of our agents will be pleased to assist you.

Can my travel agency book my flight?

Yes, your agency may contact us directly by phone to book your flights or through our website.

How do I book my Air Miles reward trip on Calm Air?

It is Air Miles’ policy that you must call Air Miles directly to book your flights at 1.888.AIR.MILE or visit www.airmiles.ca.

Can I book connecting flights on another airline through Calm Air?

No. Calm Air is not affiliated with any other airlines. You will need to contact the other airline directly to make a booking with them.

How many seats can I book in one reservation?

You book as many seats as are available on that flight. However, for groups of 7 or more people, we recommend you contact our Group Travel Specialist at 1.800.839.2256 for special group pricing.

What is Amelia?

Amelia is the internet-based computer reservation system used by Calm Air.

Fares & Availability

How do I get the lowest fare?

Our pricing is based on availability and time. As seats are limited, the further you book in advance, the more likely it is that you will receive the lowest fare. Our lowest regular fares require a 10-day advance purchase. I am booking more than 10 days prior to departure. Why doesn’t the lowest fare show up on my screen? Seats are limited at the lower fare level. Very popular or busy flights will sell out of the very lowest fare further out than the 10 days.


Why are there 2 fares listed for each flight?

There is a higher, unrestricted fare listed for those passengers who need the flexibility to make changes, as well as the lowest fare that has restrictions and a change fee applicable.

Why can’t I get the lowest fare or your advertised seat sale fare?

Seats are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The lowest fare or seat sale fare may already be sold out. Also please note that some special fares are for certain days, flights, travel periods or may require return travel or a Saturday night stay. Please check that your requested travel dates match the requirements.

Your flight schedule lists a flight on this day and time. Why doesn’t it appear on my screen?

Flights that are sold-out will not appear as an option to book.

When I started my booking there was a seat available. But when I went to reserve the seat and pay, was the seat no longer available?

Our reservation system works on real time and the availability may have changed between when you first checked and when you actually confirmed the seat with your payment. Seats are constantly being sold so availabilities are constantly changing.

Payment & Credits

When do I have to pay for my flight?

When booking online, you must pay by credit card at time of booking in order to confirm and complete the booking. Likewise, If you contact our Reservations Centre, you will be requested to provide a credit card at time of booking.

Which credit cards do you accept?

Calm Air accepts the following major credit cards: Mastercard, Visa, and American Express.

Is it safe for me to provide my credit card on the Calm Air booking site?

Yes. Information you exchange with us online is treated very securely. Our data centers are firewall protected and we use industry standard encryption software (128 bit secure socket layer) that protects your information as it is sent between your browser and our system.

How will I receive my tickets?

Calm Air uses a ticketless reservation system. This means you do not require a paper ticket for your flight. All you need for check-in is your reservation number and a piece of photo ID. You may receive a printed copy of your itinerary as a receipt of purchase but it is not required for check-in.

How do I pay for my reservation using an existing credit?

Please contact Calm Air Reservations Department to make use an existing credit towards payment for a new reservation.

How long do I have to use my Calm Air credit?

You have one year from the date of original booking to use existing credits.

How much carry-on and checked baggage am I allowed?

What are your hours of operation?

Calm Air’s Head Office business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. central time Monday to Friday. The Calm Air Reservations Department is open from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays
